Bob Magnusson was born in New York City on February 24, 1947 and grew up in San Diego surrounded by music. He first played French horn and took up the bass in 1967, joining the Buddy Rich band a year later. Bob has recorded and performed with a long list of major artists including Sarah Vaughn, Art Pepper, Linda Ronstadt and Roger Kellaway. He lives in San Diego where he often performs with flautist Holly Hofmann and pianist Mike Wofford.
The Fillius Jazz Archive has made a reasonable effort to secure permission from the interviewees to make these materials available to the public.
